What information is included in the report?
Our reports include official manufacturer dealership service records with the following details:

- Independent garage records - Services from non-franchise garages
- MOT history - Ministry of Transport test records
- HPI data - Finance checks or insurance write-offs
- Mileage verification - From third-party sources
- Accident/damage history - Body shop or repair records

How long can I access my report?
Your report is stored indefinitely with lifetime access. Save the unique URL provided after purchase to view your report anytime, anywhere. No account or login required - the URL is your permanent access key. We recommend bookmarking it or saving the email confirmation.
How much does it cost?
Each service history report costs £9.99 (under ten pounds sterling). This is a one-time fee providing instant report generation and lifetime access. There are no hidden charges, subscriptions, or recurring fees. Price includes UK VAT.
Is my payment secure?

What if no service history is found?

Can I get a refund?
Yes, under specific circumstances outlined in our Service Guarantee:
100% Refund if:
- We cannot find your VIN or registration in manufacturer databases
- Your vehicle is unsupported (wrong brand, pre-2012, commercial vehicle)
- Manufacturer database is unavailable due to technical issues
- You accidentally made a duplicate purchase
100% Refund if zero records:
- Your report shows zero service records (vehicle likely serviced at independent garages only)
No Refund if:
- You entered the wrong VIN or registration (user error)
- You changed your mind after viewing the report
- Report shows 1 or more service records
- You misunderstood what we check (we only check dealership records, not MOT/HPI/etc.)

Can I use my registration number instead of VIN?
Yes! UK customers can use their registration number (number plate) - it's often the easiest option. Simply enter your registration when prompted, and we'll automatically look up your VIN and retrieve your service history.

How do I find my VIN number?
Your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is a unique 17-character code. You can find it in several locations:
- V5C Registration Document (Logbook): Look in the VIN/Chassis Number box on the front page
- Windscreen: Small metal plate visible through the windscreen at the bottom of the driver's side
- Driver's Door Jamb: Open the door and check where the door latches
- Under the Bonnet: On the bulkhead between engine and passenger compartment
- Insurance Documents: Your insurance certificate lists the VIN

What years are covered?
We generally cover vehicles from Model Year 2012 onwards. This is when most manufacturers implemented digital service history systems. Some premium brands (BMW, Mercedes, Audi) may have coverage from 2010 onwards. Coverage varies by manufacturer - older vehicles may have limited or no digital records as they primarily used paper service books.
Do you check independent garage records?
No. ServiceStamp exclusively checks official manufacturer dealership service records from OE (Original Equipment) databases. We do not have access to independent garage records as these are not centrally stored in manufacturer systems. If your vehicle was serviced at independent garages, those records will not appear in our reports. What if I entered the wrong VIN or registration?
If you accidentally enter the wrong VIN or registration and we successfully generate a report for that incorrect identifier, we cannot offer a refund. Our system provided the service correctly based on the information you submitted.
Prevention tips:
- Double-check your registration or VIN before submitting
- VINs are exactly 17 characters (never contain I, O, or Q)
- UK registration numbers are 2-8 characters
- Compare your entry with the V5C document character-by-character

Can I check multiple vehicles?
Yes! Each report is £9.99 per VIN. There's no limit to how many vehicles you can check. If you're a dealer or checking multiple cars when shopping, simply purchase a report for each VIN you want to check. Each report provides lifetime access via its own unique URL. What happens to my personal data?
We take data privacy seriously and comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Here's what we collect and why:
- Email Address: To send your report and order confirmation
- VIN or Registration: To query manufacturer databases
- Payment Info: Processed securely by Stripe (we don't store your card details)
Your data is:

- Never sold or shared with third parties for marketing

Can I delete my data?

Note: We may be required to retain certain data for 7 years for UK tax and accounting compliance, but we'll delete all data possible within legal constraints.
I can't access my report. What should I do?
If you're having trouble accessing your report:
- Check your email spam/junk folder - sometimes our emails get filtered
- Search your inbox for "ServiceStamp" or "service history"
- If you lost the email, contact us at contact@servicestamp.co.uk with your VIN or registration and email address - we'll resend your report link
- Make sure your browser allows cookies and JavaScript (required for viewing reports)
- Try a different browser or device if the report won't load
